Overly Ambitious

So that whole 25 days of blogging was a nice idea. Apparently, as shown by my lack of blogging, it appears as though I need to start a little less ambitious. I really AM overly ambitious. I have two gifts purchased and about a bazillion to go, so what do I decide to do? Make eight varieties of cookies. Of course, that’s what sane people do right?

I have no days off work, so all cookie baking and shopping doing must be completed before/after work or on my lunch break. Seeing as I enjoy eating lunch and sleep until the last possible moment on most days, I have just a few evenings to accomplish the tasks at hand.

Two evenings down…chocolate peanut butter balls – COMPLETE! Thank goodness! I was getting nervous about two hours ago. But, I made three full batches which equates to about 175 hand rolled balls. They are very labor intensive, but everyone loves them, so I do them every year.

Tomorrow night? I’m leaning toward a monster/kitchen sink cookie. I need to have two varieties done for Friday evening. And, I need three dirty santa/grab bag gifts by then too. $30 each. Any thoughts? Needs to be good for for someone in my family – dad, stepmom, brother, sisters.

Wish me luck!
